Oregon High School Basketball - Kennedy topped by Western Mennonite
(February 3, 2012: Salem, OR 97304) The Western Mennonite Pioneers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Kennedy Trojans to 43 in the Pioneers league victory on Friday.
The Pioneers now sport a 19-3 record. They play next when they host Santiam for a 2A Tri-River contest on Tuesday, February 7. Western Mennonite will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 56-50 league win over Culver (Culver, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-17.
The Trojans (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Culver (Culver, OR). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Tri-River contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Culver was defeated by Santiam (Mill City, OR), 56-50, in a league contest.
