California High School Basketball - Portola prevails Loyalton

(December 3, 2011: Loyalton, CA 96118) Portola Tigers (Portola, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Loyalton Grizzlies (Loyalton, CA), 49-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Portola upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Durham (Durham, CA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Durham won 63-51 in their recent non-league bout against Lower Lake (Lower Lake, CA)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Providence Lions (Orland, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Loyalton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 44-23 non-league win over Herlong (Herlong, CA).
