(January 27, 2012: Compton, CA 90220) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits (Long Beach, CA) and the host Compton Tarbabes (Compton, CA), saw Long Beach Poly's basketball squad knock off Compton by a score of 66-56.

With the victory, Long Beach Poly improves its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Jackrabbits travel to Lakewood (Lakewood, CA) to meet the Lancers in a Moore contest on Wednesday, February 1. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 5-16.

The Tarbabes (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Woodrow Wilson (Long Beach, CA). The Bruins come into the Moore contest with a 6-15 record. In their last contest, Woodrow Wilson was defeated by Lakewood (Lakewood, CA), 65-55, in a league contest.
