South Carolina High School Basketball - Goose Creek prevails Dreher

(December 20, 2011: Goose Creek, SC 29445) Goose Creek Gators (Goose Creek, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dreher Blue Devils (Columbia, SC), 56-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Goose Creek upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Gators travel to Colleton County (Walterboro, SC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) in a AAA Region V bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Dreher will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Diamond Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 64-56 non-league loss to Lutheran (La Verne, CA).
