Oregon High School Basketball - North Medford thwarts Grants Pass

(January 31, 2012: Medford, OR 97504) The North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR) basketball defeated the visiting Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR), 47-31 in Tuesday's league contest.

The Black Tornado now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Medford for a 6A Southern Oregon contest on Friday, February 3. North Medford will meet a Panthers team coming off a 52-45 league win over Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Panthers record now stands at 16-2.

The Cavemen (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Indians enter the 6A Southern Oregon contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Roseburg ran past Crater (Central Point, OR), 62-49, in a league contest.
