Pius XI Popes volleyball team (Milwaukee, WI), was edged
2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host
Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL)
The Mustangs (17-6) will now prepare for their challenge against
Hinsdale South (Darien, IL). The Hornets come into the
West Suburban - Gold challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge,
Hinsdale South was edged by
York (Elmhurst, IL),
2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Popes encounter the
Kettle Moraine Lasers (Wales, WI) in a
Classic Eight challenge, on Tuesday, October 7.
Pius XI will attempt to move on its 20-3 season record. The Lasers come into the challenge with a 13-10 record after their
3-0 league loss to
Catholic Memorial (Waukesha, WI).
