Arizona High School Basketball - Central prevails Marcos de Niza

(January 31, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85012) Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ), 77-69 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Bobcats host Westwind Prep Academy (Phoenix, AZ) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 16-8. Westwind Prep Academy lost 77-65 in their recent non-league bout against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ)

Next up, the Padres encounter the Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ) in a I Section II bout, on Thursday, February 2. Marcos de Niza will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Aztecs go into the bout with a 23-1 record after their 84-68 league win over Dobson (Mesa, AZ).
