Arizona High School Basketball - Gila Ridge prevails Yuma

(January 17, 2012: Yuma, AZ 85365) Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Yuma Criminals (Yuma, AZ), 57-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Gila Ridge upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Hawks host Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ) to play the Knights in a I Section I bout on Thursday, January 19. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Lake Havasu lost 78-57 in their recent league bout against Cibola (Yuma, AZ)

Next up, the Criminals play the Parker Broncs (Parker, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Yuma will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Broncs go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 65-26 league win over River Valley (Mohave Valley, AZ).
