Oregon High School Basketball - Springfield fells Marist
(January 31, 2012: Eugene, OR 97401) Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR), 56-43 in a league bout.
With the victory, Springfield upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Millers travel to North Eugene (Eugene, OR) to play the Highlanders in a 5A Midwestern bout on Thursday, February 2. The Highlanders come into the bout with a record of 8-9. North Eugene lost 49-29 in their recent league bout against Marist (Eugene, OR)
Next up, the Spartans play the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 2. Marist will attempt to advance on its 10-8 season record. The Irish go into the test with a 14-4 record after their 59-35 league win over Thurston (Springfield, OR).
