Florida High School Basketball - Lakeside Christian topples Academy at the Lakes

(January 10, 2008: Land O'Lakes, FL ) In Thursday's league outing, the Lakeside Christian Lions (Clearwater, FL) basketball squad beat the host Academy at the Lakes (Land O'Lakes, FL), by a count of 69-50.

The Lions (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Canterbury (St. Petersburg, FL). The Crusaders go into the 1A District 11 outing with a 7-4 record. In their last outing, Canterbury gained a win over Citrus Park Christian (Tampa, FL), 71-56, in a league outing.

The now hold a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cambridge for a non-league outing on Friday, January 11. Academy at the Lakes will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 63-44 non-league loss to Canterbury (St. Petersburg, FL). The Lancers record now stands at 6-7.
