(October 1, 2011: Newtown, CT 06482) The Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) football routed the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 41-7 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Nighthawks face the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) in a Southwest bout, on Thursday, October 6. Newtown will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 43-6 league win over Immaculate (Danbury, CT).

The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Bunnell (Stratford, CT). The Bulldogs enter the Southwest bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, Bunnell bounced Oxford (Oxford, CT), 55-20, in a league battle.
