Kansas High School Basketball - Trego holds off Quinter

(February 21, 2012: WaKeeney, KS 67672) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Trego Golden Eagles (WaKeeney, KS) and the visiting Quinter Bulldogs (Quinter, KS), saw Trego's basketball squad hold off Quinter by a score of 65-61.

With the victory, Trego improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the St. Francis Indians (St. Francis, KS) in a Northwest Kansas challenge, on Friday, February 24. Quinter will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 72-50 non-league loss to Greeley County (Tribune, KS).
