Texas High School Basketball - Loop prevails Wellman-Union

(November 17, 2011: Wellman, TX 79378) Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wellman-Union Wildcats (Wellman, TX), 37-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Loop upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Wilson (Wilson, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, November 18. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Wilson lost 34-25 in their recent non-league bout against Southland (Southland, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Cotton Center Elks (Cotton Center, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 18. Wellman-Union will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Elks go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 42-41 non-league loss to Hermleigh (Hermleigh, TX).
