Kansas High School Basketball - Wabaunsee ripped by Rock Creek

(January 13, 2012: St. George, KS 66535) The Rock Creek Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Wabaunsee Chargers to 39 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Marys for a Mid-East contest on Friday, January 20. Rock Creek will confront a Bears team coming off a 36-28 league win over Rossville (Rossville, KS). The Bears record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Wabaunsee moves to 3-5 on the year. The Chargers host Riley County (Riley, KS) to face the Falcons in a Mid-East game on Friday, January 27. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 9-0. Riley County won 34-25 in their recent league game against Silver Lake (Silver Lake, KS)
