Missouri High School Basketball - Perryville holds off Central
(February 1, 2012: Perryville, MO 63775) Perryville Pirates (Perryville, MO) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Central Tigers (Cape Girardeau, MO), 52-51 in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Pirates face the Festus Tigers (Festus, MO) in a Jefferson County - Large game, on Friday, February 3. Perryville will attempt to move on its 17-4 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 12-5 record after their 47-45 non-league loss to Pacific (Pacific, MO).
With the defeat, Central moves to 13-6 on the year. The Tigers host Jackson (Jackson, MO) to face the Fighting Indians in a Southeast Missouri game on Tuesday, February 7. The Fighting Indians enter the game with a record of 12-9.
