Florida High School Basketball - River Ridge falls to Mitchell

(January 16, 2009: New Port Richey, FL 34654) The Mitchell Mustangs basketball team scored 36 points and held the host River Ridge Knights /Royal to 19 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alonso for a 6A District 7 contest on Wednesday, January 21.

The Knights /Royal (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Brooksville, FL). The Bears enter the 5A District 7 contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Central was defeated by Ridgewood (New Port Richey, FL), 75-41, in a league contest.
