Washington High School Basketball - Port Townsend holds off North Kitsap
(January 6, 2009: Port Townsend, WA 98368) Port Townsend Redskins (Port Townsend, WA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting North Kitsap Vikings (Poulsbo, WA), 49-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Port Townsend upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Redskins travel to Klahowya (Silverdale, WA) to play the Eagles in a 2A/3A Olympic bout on Friday, January 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Klahowya won 51-49 in their recent league bout against Olympic (Bremerton, WA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Sequim Wolves (Sequim, WA) in a 2A/3A Olympic bout, on Friday, January 9. North Kitsap will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 57-37 league win over Kingston (Kingston, WA).
