Texas High School Basketball - Wheeler tipped by Texline

(January 6, 2012: Wheeler, TX 79096) The Texline Tornadoes basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Wheeler Mustangs to 35 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clayton for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Texline will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 45-44 non-league win over Des Moines (Des Moines, NM). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 6-2.

The Mustangs (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Wellington (Wellington, TX). The Rockets enter the 1A-1 Region I District 3 contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Wellington nudged Quanah (Quanah, TX), 93-37, in a league contest.
