California High School Basketball - Torrey Pines holds off Mt. Carmel

(January 24, 2012: San Diego, CA 92129) Torrey Pines Falcons (San Diego, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), 58-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Torrey Pines upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Falcons host Ramona (Ramona, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Palomar bout on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 7-12. Ramona lost 69-52 in their recent league bout against Poway (Poway, CA)

Next up, the Sundevils play the Westview Wolverines (San Diego, CA) in a Palomar bout, on Friday, January 27. Mt. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 68-61 league win over Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA).
