Texas High School Basketball - Longview thwarts Community

(December 9, 2011: Longview, TX 75606) The Longview Lobos (Longview, TX) basketball felled the visiting Community Braves (Nevada, TX), 58-46 in Friday's non-league test.

The Lobos (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Life Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Life Oak Cliff defeated Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX), 36-26, in a non-league test.

The Braves now own a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Burleson for a non-league test on Friday, December 9. Community will clash with a Elks squad coming off a 66-11 non-league win over Diamond Hill-Jarvis (Fort Worth, TX). The Elks record now stands at 11-3.
