California High School Volleyball - Pierce over Winters

(September 27, 2011: Winters, CA 95694) The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Pierce Bears (Arbuckle, CA) and the host Winters Warriors (Winters, CA), saw Pierce's volleyball squad beat Winters by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Pierce upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Bears host Esparto (Esparto, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 29. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Esparto lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Buckingham Charter (Vacaville, CA)

The Warriors now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Capital Christian for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 28. Winters will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Dixon (Dixon, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 12-8.
