DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting
Avon Park Red Devils (Avon Park, FL),
44-42 in a league bout.
With the victory,
DeSoto County upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to
Palmetto (Palmetto, FL) to play the Tigers in a
4A District 10 bout on Friday, January 11. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 3-4.
Next up, the Red Devils play the
Sebring Blue Streaks (Sebring, FL) in a
4A District 10 bout, on Saturday, January 12.
Avon Park will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Blue Streaks come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their
74-67 non-league win over
Hardee (Wauchula, FL).
