Mississippi High School Basketball - South Panola falls to Columbus

(January 13, 2012: Batesville, MS 38606) The Columbus Falcons basketball team scored 50 points and held the host South Panola Tigers to 32 in the Falcons league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tupelo for a 6A Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Columbus will confront a Golden Wave team coming off a 64-55 league win over Grenada (Grenada, MS). The Golden Wave record now stands at 14-6.

The Tigers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Horn Lake ran past Southaven (Southaven, MS), 75-66, in a league contest.
