Connecticut High School Football - Pomperaug knocks off Masuk

(November 19, 2009: Southbury, CT 06488) The Pomperaug Panthers football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting Masuk Panthers to 23 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now possess a 10-0 record. They play next when they travel to Oxford for a Southwest - Patriot battle on Wednesday, November 25. Pomperaug will play a Wolverines squad coming off a 47-28 league win over New Milford (New Milford, CT). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-4.

Coming up next, the Panthers play the Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) in a Southwest - Colonial battle, on Wednesday, November 25. Masuk will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Nighthawks go into the battle with a 7-2 record after their 44-0 non-league win over Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT).
