(January 27, 2012: Los Angeles, CA 90059) In Friday's league outing, the Verbum Dei Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Salesian Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA), by a count of 51-47.
The Eagles (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA). The Valiants come into the Santa Fe bout with a 12-9 record. In their last bout, St. Genevieve held off Bellarmine-Jefferson (Burbank, CA), 65-60, in a league bout.
Next up, the Mustangs play the St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) in a Santa Fe bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Salesian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 67-54 league win over Verbum Dei (Los Angeles, CA).
