Arizona High School Basketball - Maryvale succumbs to Central

(December 16, 2011: Phoenix, AZ 85012) The Central Bobcats topped the visiting Maryvale Panthers basketball team by a final score of 62-52 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Bobcats face the Westwind Prep Academy Warriors (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, December 20. Central will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 8-2 record after their 62-34 league win over Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ).

With the defeat, Maryvale falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Independence (Glendale, AZ) to battle the Patriots in a I Section I battle on Tuesday, December 20. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 5-5. Independence lost 65-61 in their recent non-league battle against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ)
