Texas High School Basketball - Mansfield Summit nudges Granbury

(December 16, 2011: Arlington, TX 76001) Mansfield Summit Jaguars (Arlington, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX), 46-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Mansfield Summit upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Jaguars host Burleson (Burleson, TX) to encounter the Elks in a 4A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Elks go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Burleson lost 41-36 in their recent league bout against Crowley (Crowley, TX)

Next up, the Pirates encounter the Cleburne Yellowjackets (Cleburne, TX) in a 4A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Granbury will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 75-47 league loss to Seguin (Arlington, TX).
