(February 3, 2012: Spring Lake, NC 28390) In Friday's league outing, the Grays Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC), by a margin of 62-45.

The Bears (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles go into the 3A Cape Fear Valley outing with a 6-10 record. In their last outing, Douglas Byrd was beaten by Southern Lee (Sanford, NC), 78-59, in a league outing.

The Jaguars now own a 4-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Lee for a 3A Cape Fear Valley outing on Tuesday, February 7. Overhills will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 78-59 league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 12-3.
