(November 30, 2011: Charlottesville, VA 22902) The Monticello Mustangs basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Glass Hilltoppers to 36 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Courtland for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. Monticello will meet a Cougars team coming off a 62-47 non-league win over Liberty (Bealeton, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.

The Hilltoppers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Halifax County was routed by Person (Roxboro, NC), 60-47, in a non-league contest.
