North Carolina High School Basketball - Westover falls to Douglas Byrd

(December 12, 2011: Fayetteville, NC 28304) The Douglas Byrd Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Westover Wolverines to 42 in the Eagles league triumph on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Harnett for a 3A Cape Fear Valley contest on Friday, December 16.

The Wolverines (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers enter the 3A Cape Fear Valley contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Southern Lee ran past Scotland (Laurinburg, NC), 53-38, in a non-league contest.
