Florida High School Basketball - Fort Myers holds off Lehigh

(January 31, 2012: Lehigh Acres, FL 33971) Fort Myers Green Wave (Fort Myers, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lehigh Lightning (Lehigh Acres, FL), 73-71 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fort Myers upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Green Wave host Avon Park (Avon Park, FL) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 17-6. Avon Park won 83-57 in their recent non-league bout against Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, FL)

Next up, the Lightning play the Palmetto Ridge Bears (Naples, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Lehigh will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 5-19 record after their 73-51 non-league win over Riverdale (Fort Myers, FL).
