With the victory, Cypress Lakes improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Cypress Creek (Houston, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 17 outing on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 4-11. Cypress Creek lost 64-43 in their recent non-league outing against Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, TX)

The Vikings now own a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Bend Elkins for a 5A Region III District 23 outing on Tuesday, January 3.
