(October 11, 2011: Winthrop, MN 55396) The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds to 0 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds now have a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springfield for a Tomahawk game on Thursday, October 13. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will meet a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 15-10.
The Greyhounds (4-14) will now prepare for their game against Cedar Mountain/Comfrey (Morgan, MN). The Cougars enter the Tomahawk game with a 4-13 record.
