Florida High School Basketball - Gulf crushes Springstead

(December 3, 2008: Spring Hill, FL 34609) Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL), 63-19 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gulf upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL) to play the Bulls in a 4A District 8 bout on Friday, December 5. The Bulls come into the bout with a record of 5-1. Wiregrass Ranch won 70-40 in their recent non-league bout against Berkeley Prep (Tampa, FL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL) in a 4A District 8 bout, on Friday, December 5. Springstead will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
