Connecticut High School Basketball - Watertown crushes Ansonia

(January 31, 2012: Watertown, CT 06795) Watertown Indians (Watertown, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), 61-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Watertown upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT) to encounter the Hawks in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass bout on Friday, February 3. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Woodland Regional lost 47-28 in their recent league bout against St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT)

Next up, the Chargers encounter the Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Ansonia will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 64-20 non-league win over Derby (Derby, CT).
