(September 23, 2005: Lehigh Acres, FL 33971) Mariner Tritons (Cape Coral, FL) fans were pleased Friday as they witnessed their football team notch a victory over the host Lehigh Lightning (Lehigh Acres, FL), 22-3 in a non-league game.

The Tritons (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton, FL). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Lakewood Ranch lost by Manatee (Bradenton, FL), 52-19, in a league game.

The Lightning now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host North Port for a 4A District 15 game on Friday, September 30. Lehigh will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 26-19 non-league loss to DeSoto County (North Port, FL). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-3.
