Florida High School Basketball - Land O'Lakes can't hold off Gulf

(January 27, 2009: New Port Richey, FL 34652) The Gulf Buccaneers basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Land O'Lakes Gators to 46 in the Buccaneers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 20-4 record. They play next when they host Wesley Chapel for a 5A District 7 contest on Thursday, January 29. Gulf will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 68-46 non-league win over Pasco (Dade City, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 21-1.

The Gators (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sebring (Sebring, FL). The Blue Streaks come into the non-league contest with a 8-12 record.
