(January 11, 2012: Yuma, AZ 85365) In Wednesday's league bout, the Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) basketball squad toppled the host Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ), by a count of 66-47.

With the victory, Fairfax upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Stampede travel to Chavez (Laveen, AZ) to play the Champions in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Champions come into the bout with a record of 17-2. Chavez won 82-42 in their recent league bout against Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Hawks play the Kofa Kings (Yuma, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Gila Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Kings come into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 61-56 league win over Cibola (Yuma, AZ).
