Missouri High School Basketball - Vianney edges Webster Groves
(December 29, 2011: Kirkwood, MO 63122) The Vianney Golden Griffins (Kirkwood, MO) basketball nipped the visiting Webster Groves Statesmen (Webster Groves, MO), 73-67 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Golden Griffins (10-0) will now prepare for their test against St. Louis University (St. Louis, MO). The Junior Bills go into the Metro Catholic test with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, St. Louis University was tipped by Parkway South (Manchester, MO), 45-32, in a non-league outing.
The Statesmen now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Marquette for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 3. Webster Groves will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 55-51 non-league loss to Kirkwood (Kirkwood, MO). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-3.
