(January 10, 2012: Melissa, TX 75454) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) and the visiting Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX), saw Melissa's basketball squad overcome Leonard by a score of 46-35.
With the victory, Melissa improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Tyler Street Christian Academy (Dallas, TX) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Tyler Street Christian Academy won 63-16 in their recent league test against StoneGate Christian Academy (Irving, TX)
The Tigers now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they host Rivercrest for a 2A Region II District 12 test on Friday, January 13. Leonard will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 67-58 league loss to Prairiland (Pattonville, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 13-8.
