(October 5, 2007: Cecil, AL 36013) The Springwood Wildcats football team (Lanett, AL), was ripped 42-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights (Cecil, AL)

The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bessemer Academy (Bessemer, AL). The Rebels come into the AISA AAA Region 2 challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Bessemer Academy trounced Clarke Prep (Grove Hill, AL), 41-13, in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Chambers Academy for a AISA AA Region 2 challenge on Friday, October 12. Springwood will meet a Rebels team coming off a 34-14 non-league win over Dixie Academy (Louisville, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 3-4.
