California High School Soccer - Harvard-Westlake Canyon

(December 15, 2011: North Hollywood, CA 91604) Harvard-Westlake Wolverines (North Hollywood, CA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines confront the Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs (La Canada-Flintridge, CA) in a Mission challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Harvard-Westlake will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record.

The Comanches now possess a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Aliso Niguel for a non-league challenge on Friday, December 16. Canyon will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-0.

Scoring Summary

The Comanches suffered their first loss of the season in the opening game of the Mater Dei Premier Invitational, falling to Harvard-Westlake, 2-0.

Canyon tallied only four shots on goal during the match, which was dominated by Harvard-Westlake's speed and direct play.
