Illinois High School Baseball - Glenbard South gets by Romeoville
(May 14, 2011: Romeoville, IL 60446) Glenbard South Raiders (Glen Ellyn, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL), 12-9 in a non-league test.
With the win, Glenbard South upgrades its record to 17-9 on the season. The Raiders travel to Illiana Christian (Lansing, IL) to battle the Vikings in a Metro Suburban test on Tuesday, May 17. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 18-8. Illiana Christian lost 11-6 in their recent non-league test against Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL)
The Spartans now sport a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plainfield North for a Southwest Prairie battle on Tuesday, May 17. Romeoville will play a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Lemont (Lemont, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 27-0.
