Texas High School Basketball - Lake Highlands succumbs to Aubrey

(December 4, 2009: Aubrey, TX 76227) The Aubrey Chaparrals topped the visiting Lake Highlands Wildcats basketball team by a score of 44-32 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Chaparrals now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Farmersville for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 8. Aubrey will battle a Farmers team coming off a 53-48 non-league loss to Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Farmers record now stands at 3-3.

The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Mustangs come into the 5A Region II District 9 battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Creekview prevailed over Little Elm (Little Elm, TX), 51-39, in a non-league battle.
