(August 22, 2008: Wytheville, VA 24382) The Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) football got by the host Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), 21-19 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Gate City (Gate City, VA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Gate City nipped Richlands (Richlands, VA), 27-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Maroons now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Radford for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. Wythe will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 37-16 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-0.
