Arizona High School Basketball - Sunnyslope prevails Shadow Mountain

(January 17, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85021) Sunnyslope Vikings (Phoenix, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Shadow Mountain Matadors (Phoenix, AZ), 68-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Sunnyslope upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Cortez (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Colts in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Cortez won 77-73 in their recent non-league challenge against Washington (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Matadors battle the Notre Dame Prep Saints (Scottsdale, AZ) in a II Section III challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Shadow Mountain will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 64-61 non-league win over Fountain Hills (Fountain Hills, AZ).
