Texas High School Basketball - King edges Southwest
(January 6, 2012: Corpus Christi, TX 78412) The King Mustangs (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX), 70-68 in Friday's league test.
The Mustangs (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A Region IV District 28 test with a 15-8 record. In their last test, Carroll got by East Central (San Antonio, TX), 59-58, in a league test.
The Dragons now own a 14-10 record. They take the field next when they host South San Antonio for a 5A Region IV District 28 test on Tuesday, January 10. Southwest will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 70-56 league win over Highlands (San Antonio, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 12-13.
