(September 19, 2008: Inverness, FL 34452) The Citrus Hurricanes football team (Inverness, FL), was knocked off 41-10 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Central Bears (Brooksville, FL)

The Bears (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ridgewood (New Port Richey, FL). The Rams come into the 4A District 8 challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Ridgewood knocked off Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL), 24-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Hurricanes now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lecanto for a 3A District 6 challenge on Friday, September 26. Citrus will meet a Panthers team coming off a 21-15 non-league loss to The Villages Charter (The Villages, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
