(January 6, 2012: Avondale, AZ 85323) The South Mountain Jaguars basketball squad (Phoenix, AZ), was edged 74-72 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Westview Knights (Avondale, AZ)

With the win, Westview upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Knights travel to Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to encounter the Lancers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Salpointe Catholic won 85-76 in their recent non-league bout against Westview (Avondale, AZ)

Next up, the Jaguars encounter the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) in a II Section III bout, on Tuesday, January 10. South Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Dons go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 70-52 league loss to Tempe (Tempe, AZ).
