California High School Basketball - Oak Grove falls to Piedmont Hills

(January 16, 2009: San Jose, CA 95132) The Piedmont Hills Pirates basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Oak Grove Eagles to 36 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westmont for a Mount Hamilton contest on Wednesday, January 21. Piedmont Hills will meet a Warriors team coming off a 51-42 league win over Leland (San Jose, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-5.

The Eagles (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Overfelt (San Jose, CA). The Royals enter the Mount Hamilton contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Overfelt was defeated by Leigh (San Jose, CA), 59-40, in a league contest.
